Thriving Thrifts

House to myself on this Friday night and what mood am I in? Crafting mood! Just a simple little craft since most of my crafting supplies are packed for the move. Simple but adorable. I used felt stickers that were a gift to me, card stock paper, scissors, a pencil, and paperclips. I traced the shapes of the felt stickers to create a backing. I hot glued the stickers on to the coordinating paper clip for more support and then glued the backing on. Very simple but these cute decorative paper clips will add to my planner.

Going through my Mother In Law's things as she was decluttering and preparing for a move I found this old rusted glass terrarium. Instead of instantly throwing it away, I had a vision to fix it up and that is exactly what I did. I love how it turned out. I forgot to take pictures of the process since, at the time, I didn't know I would be starting a blog. I will be sure to remember next time. The first step for this project was to remove all the glass panels and clean them Windex. Next, I did my best to sand every inch of the metal to remove as much rust as possible. After the sanding process, which took a good amount of time, I wiped everything down and began the spray painting process. I chose white so that whatever plant I decided to put inside would pop. After many coats, the finished product was complete! I couldn't be more pleased and can't wait to display this in my house once we move.
