New Year Goals
2017 is coming to
an end and the new year is ringing in. With the new year comes new goals for
2018. Here are some of mine for the new year. Maybe they will inspire you to
have some goals of your own or add more to your already long list. I chose some
goals that are specific and others that are broad. Some of these goals are daily while others are monthly. Now, these goals can be adjusted throughout the
year because I have to be realistic and at the same time push myself. I will
give the list with a brief description if needed.
- Read All
of Harry Potter books again- I am not one to read books more than once but
I am a huge Harry Potter fan. Many have told me that you pick up more each
time you read the books.
- Read 15
books at least
- Read 45
mins a day- I want to watch less Netflix before bed and do more reading to
help get me tired. Plus, reading everyday will allow me to accomplish my
goal above.
- Run 5
miles by end of March- I had this goal to be passed by the end of January
because I was running every day and increasing mileage each week. However,
Ally and I got very busy with buying a house and the holidays so I had to
put this on hold.
- Run 7
miles by June
- Run 10
miles by December- This goal may be unreachable for I have never ran more
than 3 miles at one time. I am going to work at this every week and
hopefully get to this goal!
- Blog
every Sunday- I have been slacking with my blogs since finding a house and
the holidays. I have a whole list of blogging ideas but just haven’t sat
down at the computer to do them. In our new house I will have a whole
craft room and computer set which will allow me to accomplish this goal.
- Workout
Everyday
- Eat
Heathy
- Floss
Every Day- Now I know that this is a given for everyone but I would slack
and only doing if once a week and I need to get back into the habit of
flossing every night before bed and using mouthwash.
- Start a
stand at farmer market- once I move I plan to make tons more crafts and
woodworks with Ally and have enough to start a stand at a local farmers
market and sell some of my crafts.
- Habit
Tracker- I am going to purchase a tracker booklet or make one that allows
me to put all my goals and mark when I finish a book or when I floss or
when I work out. I like to write things down. It makes me feel like I have
done something and makes me feel good about myself being able to visually
see my accomplishments.
I am sure I will have more goals formulate
throughout the year but this is a good start. What are some of your New Year’s
Resolutions and Goals? Tell me in the comments below! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
